Super Bowl LIX Kicks Off on Sunday, February 9

Ah, the Super Bowl… the time-honored annual tradition of eating, drinking, and yelling at the T.V. True fans love to feel like they are right out on the field as part of the team, while other members of the crew like to have a prime spot next to the buffet. Either way, a great time will surely be had by all (unless “your” team loses the championship…)!

An estimated 325.5 million gallons of beer is guzzled by Americans on the night of the big game. If your Super Bowl plans involve celebrating (or commiserating) with alcohol or drugs, make sure you have a plan for staying safe. Relax and let someone else do the work…there are plenty of options for a safe ride home:

  • Designate a SOBER driver.
  • Order an UBER (www.uber.com) or LYFT (www.lyft.com). You could even “go old-school” and call a cab!
  • Take PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION. It’s cheap and there for you to use it!
  • SPEND THE NIGHT. Plan to watch the game at a friend’s house instead of a bar so that you have flexibility.
  • CALL A FRIEND or family member. They may complain because they are in their jammies already, but they would rather see you arrive home safely then not at all.

No matter who wins or loses on the field, getting home safely is always a victory. Enjoy the game, celebrate responsibly, and make smart choices!
